Capacity Optimization Contributions

As part of a consulting project for a cargo airline, we supported one consulting firm and its client in carrying out network optimisations using the optimiser CPLEX. Specifically, VIA Software’s task was to implement a so-called “connection builder,” which calculates all relevant transport alternatives, while creating an optimiser interface that was used to analyse and evaluate the given flight schedules of the cargo airline.

VIA Software employees have extensive experience across a wide range of projects related to creating, visualising and evaluating flight schedules for passenger and cargo airlines: whether with respect to their profitability or resilience in the face of disruptions. Based on this experience, we enjoy providing airlines and airports with comprehensive advice on topics related to flight plan creation and evaluating/analysing commercial flight plans—contributing to the creation of innovative planning systems.
